what is up with pending cancellations? I have never gotten this before when cancelling orders especially one I just placed 2 hrs ago. They are not that fast processing and normally orders go thru processes and once it is selected to print then no changes or cancellations can be made. That is how it is normally done. Is this something new?

Hi @QVCPal

Often times system updates are done during the early morning hours and that can temporarily impact our ability to cancel orders.  I would be happy to take a look at a particular order for you if you email the information to QVCSocialTeam@qvc.com.

Thanks!

@QVCPal  I tried to cancel something shortly after I bought it, and got the cancel pending for over three days, then received a notice that the item was just shipped.  I find this very strange and annoying under these circumstances.

Hi @mousiegirl,

I am sorry this happened.  If the item is shipped directly from the vendor, we are sometimes unable to cancel the order.  If this happens, please partner with our Customer Service department and they will assist you with the return.  If we can see that you attempted to cancel the order, there would be no charge for using our return label.

@QVCPal same thing happened to me.  I actually received the item yesterday and it was still showing in my debit card account as "pending."  I did call a couple days ago and spoke to a CS rep, but he told me it will eventually fall off my account.

I placed an order on Monday, and attempted to cancel it a few hrs later and I also received the cancel pending notice. Lo and behold the item shipped yesterday. 3 days????  They continue to say that it's hard for QVC to cancel if the item ships from the vendor, but I have a hard time believing that in 72 hours that QVC can't notify the vendor of the cancellation??!! I think it's their tactic to do anything for a sale. Now, when the item arrives I will be charged to send it back. Really frustrating!!

I think it also depends on what the item is, who is actually shipping it, and when you cancel.

I've not had this happen with an item shipped by QVC, but I have had it happen with an Auto-Delivery item that was sent by the manufacturer. I a day or two before the ship date and I think the info didn't get from QVC to the manufacturer in time.

Read the above post from the QVC moderator. She specifically states that if you contact customer service and they see that the item was cancelled they will not charge to use the return label.
