I have tons of allergies and I cannot wear most wools against my skin (even cashmere causes problems) BUT I can wear 100% merino wool against my skin without a huge rash breaking out.

I don't seem to have any problem with wool against my skin--which is totally weird b/c I am highly sensitive skin-wise to many other things--detergents, scents, etc..

I usually don't have a problem with wool next to my skin. I opt for wearing a lining garment beneath to save on dry cleaning costs. In neighborhood it averages around $9 to clean a wool turtleneck. A dress can be $20.
As for the J Crew dress, I'm surprised that it is not "fully" lined since structured wool lays so much better when it's lined.
