Yes, you can! Unless a dress code is set forth in the invitation - anything goes.

I wore an ecru ruffled mini dress to my cousins wedding back in 1972 and my family didn't even notice. I think anything goes with wedding attire today as long as you don't show up in a white wedding gown.

Pants at a wedding indoor or outdoor sounds fine. As for the color I just feel white belongs to the Bride. Whether she chooses it is her decision.
