Can I press this velour top?

I got a Denim and Company velour jacket but it came with some wrinkles. Can I press this?

@Another new name Sue  This is one of those times when you need a steamer. I wouldn't be without mine.   If your iron has a steamer function (burst of steam), use it up and down as if it were a Rowenta travel steamer, just pulling the fabric down as you hang it on a hanger and steaming the wrinkles out.

Re: Can I press this velour top?

Press it wrong side out with a damp towel between iron and garment, iron on a low-medium setting.  Velour is polyester and can melt if too hot but placing a slightly damp towel will serve as "steam" instead of using a steam iron and the towel can protect the garment from melting.  Just be careful and decide if you have too much or too little heat.  Another option is to throw it in the dryer for 2-3 minutes with a damp towel.

Not sure I'd do this....you could very well end up with fuzzies from the towel on the velour.

I would just wet it or run it through a rinse cycle and hang to dry.

Why would you end up with the fuzzies if you used Downy or such on the towel before it was washed or in the dryer.  Doesn't everybody know about using Downy or such to prevent "fuzzies."

I would use a hand held steamer and put the top on a hanger and steam out the wrinkles.
