IMO, I've never seem cargo pants where the side pockets are in a flattering location. They're either on the thigh, don't need added width there, around the knee or too low near the hem line.

What's the purpose of the cargo design? Just the extra flap pocket?

Just a design element.  I don't think women use them.

That's my feeling...

I like cargo pants.  I'm sort of tall & skinny thin.  Doesn't make a difference to me where the pockets are located as long as I can reach them.

Cargo pant pockets I usually keep tissues & loose change in them on one side & the other side my change purse, lighter & ciggys

They are my go to casino/boardwalk gear.

I like cargos alot and have many in long, capri and crop styles. I use the pockets all the time when I wear them and the pockets are at a good place for me--a little above the knee so easy to get too. They all are very flattering on me too.

My son is 35, cargo pants for little boys were popular 30 years ago.

And for that reason, I won't wear them!!

I prefer a classy trouser.   I don't even wear jeans.

I like cargo pants. I like pockets and use them. I won't buy a jacket that doesn't have pockets.

My soon to be 18 yr old GS wore cargo pants when younger.  He kept all his game cartridges in the pockets.

After he turned 15, he stopped wearing them all of a sudden.  Now he keeps his game cartridges in a plastic bag jammed into his jean pockets. :smileylol:

i have a couple of skinny cargo pants that have flat pockets. not the kind that jut out. therefore they don't add bulk.

I like cargo pants in a thinner fabric than most of them are!

Also, I don't put anything in mine because that adds bulk!

I just like the look!Woman Wink
