Goldie: my navy pearls were not closely knotted. I called CS and got a proper pair. I'd call CS and make clear your concern about them being sold out if you wait for a return. I've done this and had an item sent out without having to wait for a return to be processed.

It's possible that the wrong color may have been sent if they are not burgundy. This can happen if a return is sent in the wrong package and the necklace is restocked under the wrong color. Remember when QVC changed the colors from the names Louis gave them on the mocha mist and driftwood? I returned them for an exchange and had to call CS after learning the ones I really wanted were called mocha mist not driftwood. Also, one time I received the wrong color pearls that were a bronze color instead of what I had ordered. If it's not the color you ordered, return and ask that they not deduct for return postage because that's a shipping error.
