birdMama - I believe that skirts with interest are what are trend. The rouching on the hem is just an example.

I am more reminded of Austrian Pouf Curtains - something European.

I love the trend, and have worn dressy-ish versions to three weddings. (Sheer over solid, deeper prints/black backgrounds). Silky tops. Many of the younger folks wearing short-short dresses seemed very impressed (and slightly envious.Wink). Not to mention several married, younger male guests who were following me around, lol............I do think that short-short dresses worn at weddings has been so prevalent over the years, that the look eventually cancels itself out. UPDATE: I guess I'm thinking of another type of skirt. Mine aren't similar to the photos shown.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

I don't believe so, but here is a similar look (on sale) at NM.

Alva Twill Maxi Skirt

XCVI "Alva" Boston-twill maxi skirt.

Contrast topstitching.

Natural rise.

Thick elasticized waist.

Straight silhouette.

Pullover style.

Gathered hem hits at ankle.

Rayon; washable.

Made in USA.

This one reminds me of casket lining or funeral home drapes.

You nailed it. I couldn't imagine wearing this anywhere. Not even to clear the bathroom.

The one in the photo is not a broomstick skirt. It does remind me of a style of drapes that was popular at one time.

Bird mama - thank you for the info on the skirt. It's similar but not quite the same...

Tough Kitty - Lola found the picture of the grey skirt.

It looks like Kerstin is wearing a ruched panel skirt - she's sitting in the video so it's kind of tricky.

There are many elements: wind, fire, water
But none quite like the element of surprise
