[Grouchomarx]

Today I received a GILI lipstick red suede kitten heel pump with tassels on the back of the heel. They are divine. However, I’m not entirely sure what to wear with them. Any ideas are welcome. (Item # is A296478). I have never owned a red shoe!

I have a similar Sam Edelman pump that I wear with black, grey, taupe and occasionally brown.  Just be careful how you do it.  Not too much red but if you have a red clutch of same or very nearly same color and wear any color you wish and that clutch and pump will knock it out of the ballpark.  These pumps are great worn with black denims, indigo denims and a black tee shirt and a blazer.

Navy anything, or maybe even charcoal gray.

I wouldn’t hesitate to wear those pumps even with a business suit (skirt or pants) for a job interview. It’s not that the red suede is at all neutral, but that it is bold and says you have boldness. But if I wore that navy or gray with the fab red shoes, I’d wear only decorous jewelry, simple and classic like pearls or hoop earrings or just one bangle. 

Bold with some verve is not meant to look wild or too young. Taking navy or gray up a notch shows confidence and gives a little wink to the world.

1) Leopard fashions/outfit/accessories

2) Black suede or leather fashions. A striking and 'rich' compliment

3) Red, black or navy plaid fashions. Or black/white herringbone fashions

4) Gray and camel/tan fashions 

4) Spruce up a casual denim day with red shoes, scarf, gloves
