@turtle52 To say "Bonnie definitely has gained some weight" is nasty and judgmental.  The "but" you put in the sentence just confirms it.

@Sooner    If Bonnie has gained weight evidenced by her larger size of clothing, it's not judgmental or nasty.  Just a fact of life.  It happens to many people, most probably, and is not the end of the world.  Most of us have gone up and down a few times.

@Kachina624 I agree it is a fact, but that doesn't make it nice or polite or necessary to mention it.  What is the point in that except to call attention to something that might not be pleasant to some people?

Sometimes when models are asked, they sometimes don't seem to know (fast, quick outfit changes, etc.)

So they end up just saying their model size.

Saying this in a nice way.  I like all of the models.

Btw, I very much like a new-ish model named Jacnyth.  Nice smile and personality, etc.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

Re: Bonnie the model

[ Edited ]

Bonnie is listed as a size 12 on her portfolio.

@MezzieStarr   That's interesting.  Her measurements are almost exactly like mine and no way can I get into a size 12.  More like a 16.  I rarely watch QVC but would love to see her modeling clothes.

Her measurements don't line up with a size 12.
Very strange.

As soon as someone states they're not being nasty, judgemental or not bady shaming, they are.

This is so prevalent, that there is a commercial on my local radio station that draws attention to this fact in a humorous way.

IF someone gains weight and it is observed by someone, what is nasty, judgemental or body shaming about the obvious?  Some people are way too sensitive and get offended too easily.  Get over it.

Why have live models if they aren't wearing the correct size and are truthful about it?  Might as well go to a catalog.

@Carmie   What's body shaming about wanting to know what size a model is wearing??

It WASN'T body shaming.

I am not being nasty or judgemental but Bonnie definitely has gained some weight. They kept saying that she was a size 10 which I knew was not true. Now all of a sudden she is a size large/14. I think she is very beautiful and I don't care what size she is but at least her correct size is now being stated. It makes you wonder how many others aren't telling the truth about their size...

YES, she has gained weight, and there is NO WAY she's a size 10, even with QVC's VANITY sizing.

@turtle52

Bonnie looks beautiful!  She has gained weight very recently. Now she is a large. End of story.
