I graduated H.S. In 1962 and then went to college.  I remember all the brands in this thread, shopped plenty, made many of my clothes and had a number of outfits made by a tailor.  That said, I disagree about "great quality" back in the day.  Many of the clothes I buy today (mid -range stores) are at least as well made as the "old stuff".  Also, please get over always slamming Chinese made stuff; I have found that most of what I buy from China is just fine!
