Such fun!

Does anyone remember Kimberly Knits? I wore them in the '60s. They were beautiful and well made. I was from S. Calif.

I remember Bobbie Brooks, Jantzen, Catalina, & Bass brands. My sisters & I wore those brands. We grew up in the Ohio Valley region.

@LTT1   Thanks for finding a photo!   I remember the celery green shade.  I think I had something in that shade, maybe a sweater?

Yes, we had Bobbie Brooks clothes here. I wanted some so bad, but there wasn’t extra money for them.

@september

About the time this brand came into style, I became interested in fashions and fashion magazines.

I also was a teen growing up in the late 60's.

It looks to me like our fashions became more trendy when polyester was invented (or used more often).

Re: Bobbie Brooks clothing

[ Edited ]

Oh yes I do remember Bobbie Brooks. Western NY. Could only get a few pieces at the beginning of the school year

and always a few pieces for Christmas. Nice memories. Nice line of clothing and lasted forever.

I still think about Bobbie Brooks occasionally.  Thanks for the memories.  I was in high school in the 60's.  With what little money I got from my part time job, I used layaway to buy Bobbie Brooks and my other favorites.  I remember a BB plaid suit I had -- it was a blazer jacket and culottes in shades of gold and yellow.  Man oh man!  I wore that suit to death!  Very Twiggy and Jean Shrimpton.

In the mid 1960’s, always wanted Jonathan Logan dresses for Sweet 16’s but couldn’t afford them. So, my mother copied and made me clothes and I learned to make little mini skirts. Made my own coordinated earrings, too.Thinking back, I had the most original and fashionable “homemade designer” outfits. Didn’t’ have bass weegins, too collegiate. Had “Fred Braun’s” In college...more “hippie”. NYC
