Did any of you order the patchwork top that was shown yesterday? I ordered (on waitlist) the pink/coral. Any opinions? I have never ordered any of his line. I have always thought his clothing was for older women. Well, now that I'm old, I thought I would try that Henley blouse. Do you think it will require a cami underneath?

I so enjoy his presentations. He is a class-act and such a gentlemen.

TIA

I really enjoy watching him, but his style of clothes, which looks like quality garments, just don't fit into my life style. I am a very casual in my fashion. He is such a gentleman just like George Simonton.

I watched most of the show and loved quite a few things (as usual) - that particular shirt was very pretty; however, it was too short for my taste. I have purchased many (too many?) Bob Mackie items, back with they were priced within reason. I just posted on another thread how QVC pricing has "forced" me back into the stores (love Marshalls and TJ Maxx). And it's not just Bob's line that has increased - most every clothing line has increased (other than Linea -- that line has pretty much stayed the same in pricing and is worth every penny and more). It used to be that you could purchase a beautiful Mackie t-shirt for $30-35. I think in the show yesterday, the least expensive top I saw was about $50 (before shipping and tax). It's a shame, too, because his line fits me so well (as does Linea). I hope you love the shirt! And yes, class act and quite the gentleman!

Susan Graver's tops are around $50. and Denim & Co. is way too expensive. A casual jacket (like old Sports Savvy) was $48 today. Wasn't that long ago you could get the jacket and matching pants for a lot less than that. A lot of Joan's jackets now run around $80. (prices mentioned are before shipping and tax) I think a lot of us are shopping locally now--at least I am. (or online elsewhere with sales prices and discounts)

That patchwork shirt was cute but I also reconsidered the length - it looked way too short on those tall models - so I took a tape measure and it would be shorter than I feel comfortable in. I never never buy clothing on the Q any more - Mackie's designs are too busy - old lady looking or so way overdone; but that shirt I did like...........didn't buy due to the length. (I hope Mackie reads this - that's why I've given 'details')

i LOVE Bob Mackie, have ordered his clothing off and on for as long as he's been on. They are consistently well made, very cute IMHO and the sizing is consistent.

That shirt was SO cute and I wanted it, but can't order right now....

BOB!! We love you! Of all the vendors on the Q YOU are my favorite!!! {#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

... And I agree about the pricing of clothing. There's just not much under $50 anymore, and for me, I have to make careful selections at that price point (or higher)....
