Re: Blue Ivy Carter at "Musafa: The Lion King" premiere with her parents,Beyonce & Jay

I wonder if this child felt comfortable wearing this dress or if she was persuaded to wear it? My girls were so modest and that age. No way would they have wore the dress.

@Imaoldhippie well color me difficult because I am not making a judgement about this from a picture of a minor.

I saw on Blue's Instagram page yesterday, she as two accounts, she posted a short video of her in the dress in front of the photographers.  You could tell by her movements she is not as experienced in posing as she will be in the future.  The awkwardness reminds me of the 12 year old instead of the 20 year old she looks like.

What a sweet, pretty girl.  I entirely agree with those brave souls who express the opinion that this is not appropriate for a 12 year old.  It's "brave" now to dispute current Hollywood standards about what is fitting--  there is always such blowback, including attacks on anyone who doesn't go along.

It's not new.  Our son was in middle school not all that long ago, and it was apparent even then that some parents were not making good decisions about pre-teens' attire, especially on "fancy" occasions.  It's not the child's fault-- it's the lack of good judgment of their parents, unfortunately.
