Re: Belle Jeans are getting little snags

All my jeans have snags. I also wake up with phantom scratches all over my body! I have cats

But seriously snags by definition do not just occur out of the blue. Something snagged the material

I'm sure that snags don't just happen out of the blue. But jeans are usually worn a lot of the time  normal things, cleaning, going shopping etc. Shouldn't have to treat jeans that carefully. Wouldn't be quite so bad if you were wearing pants for a night out or something like that but jeans are worn   a lot of the time. I have had jeans with a little stretch to them that are not knit and that's what I'll be buying from now on.

I own a couple of pairs of Kim's jeans and do not have any snagging.    My dream jeannes though have worn out, mostly in the behind.......cannot figure that out as I don't sit on my butt all day!  But just seems like the material has worn very quickly with simple gentle washing??   Not a big fan of QF pants but I have to say the tops I own have lasted many years.

Dreamjeannes also have tendancy to wear out at the seams.

Re: Belle Jeans are getting little snags

Yesterday, I put on a new pair of Peter Nygard white jeans.  Pristine.  Looked great.  I took my husband to ophthalmologist.  We do that gig everyday their office is open.  He has a corneal ulcer which is resistant to treatment and though our new ophthalmologist/corneal specialist of 2-1/2 weeks is really trying, we may have wasted 2 weeks with the former ophthalmologist/glaucoma specialist who is his regular eye doctor as he has glaucoma.

Long story short, it is a very nice office, very high end.  I was back in the "dark room" with my husband when my cell rang.  I was expecting a very important phone call from another doctor, so I stepped outside to take the call.  I was about to walk back in when I noticed a snag on these pants, though not as expensive as some, I think these were about $75-100 when I purchased them earlier in the season (they are no longer present at the store i purchased, so I do not know exact cost) but had never worn them before.  What did I do to get a snag.  I don't know.  They were not too tight.  I suppose my watch or David Yurman bracelet may have done it.  Perhaps my phone.  They are not a total loss and sometimes I consider snags (which I treat by snipping or burning) just a part of the patina, like fading and whiskering of regular jeans.

I have far too many things in life to think of than to worry about a snag on my knit jeans which is like any other thing in life, going to occur, if you use it.  It is a part of wear and aging.
