That may be the most beautiful wedding dress I've ever seen. It's simple, elegant and sexy all at the same time. (And I agree w/ those of you who've written that the strapless gowns have been overdone!)

A wedding is a brides day, then the groom followed by the mob and mog.  When we look at the wedding pictures our eyes should go first to the bride and then to the wedded couple.  Susan did look terrific and her dress was gorgeous.  I don't think anyone questioned those 2 points.  All we are saying is when you look at the pictures of mother and daughter our eyes are drawn first to the beautiful blue dress with flowers.  In weddings I have participated in, even recently, the women in the party all worked to compliment the bridal party making sure that the bride was the star for the occasion.  It is the day she has dreamed of "forever".

Wow, Susan G just mentioned her daughter got married in Park City, UT.  One of the most beautiful places to live...I didn't realize I'd miss it so much, but so grateful I was able to live there.

Susan's daughter looks lovely. Susan and her husband look a bit unbalanced as he should either be wearing a navy suit to pair better w/ her navy dress - or Susan should have worn possibly a quieter nude color to maybe match the daughters bouquet and the husbands khaki suit..

Like both dresses in your first photo, @lolakimono, especially the wedding dress.

@Gram WQuite agree.  Susan's dress stood out over the bride.  SHE was the first thing we saw.

Susans face looks fuller and tighter lke she had fillers or something injected for the big day. I think they all looked great, I loved her gown and her new hubby is a doll.

I do not like the dress. And her hair was a mess.

I think they all look beautiful and very happy. The inset detail on the front of the wedding dress is very similar to the inset on the back. I'm certain J loved her dress, and that's really all that matters, but I like it too.

I love the dress and don't think the inset looks like an afterthought.  It is most definitely a design detail as it is mimicked on the back of the dress.  The bride looks gorgeous.  So does Susan and the MIL.

@faeriemoon I understand what you are saying, but I still think it looks like an "add on" front and back - and competes with the "clean" line of the bodice. Just think it's ugly and takes away from what is a pretty, but ordinary dress - Hey, we're all entitled to our opinions, right? And the bride liked it, which is what matters!!
