David's is more in line price wise for the everyday woman.  I am just too practical to put down thousands for a one day event and I feel it is a waste of money but that is my opinion.   The ad is pretty but it would have been nice to the see the full length dress.

I don't like strapless wedding gowns.  I would like the top if it wasn't strapless.  However, all except the mermaid, the skirts are lovely.

I don’t see anything opulent about this ad.

David’s has to swim upstream since they’re already known for their ā€˜affordable’ products.

The headband design ends short, the dress appears to be sagging

(read: no boning/cheaper dress), the dress also appears to be

held up with her arms and the hair needs to be smoothed down.

@phoenixbrd  I wonder about the dress too. Ad is in the current issue of Brides magazine, so maybe it's a new dress.

These are some possibilities I found on the DB site

I like wedding gowns to have more coverage on the decolletage and arms...even a bit of sheer something to cover those parts would be more of my style. Gowns shown in those photos look more like evening gowns rather than wedding gowns to me. Call me old-fashioned but I think a conservatively dressed bride is classy and timeless.

Re: Beautiful Bridal Ad

[ Edited ]

The ad has a certain appeal, but I don't much care for 'bustier' style gowns, especially for a wedding preferring something with a little more coverage. Personally, I would probably never opt for an overly 'bridal' gown, but rather, would seek something appropriate for a wedding but that didn't scream 'wedding gown'... To me, such a waste of money I'd rather spend on clothes that would be worn more than once...
