Barefoot Dreams question

[ Edited ]

I've never purchased from this line, but have been tempted.  One concern I have is about the quality of the fabric as I've noticed you can see the hanger through the material as they demonstrate the colors.  So, if it is thin enough to see through, does the fabric hold its shape, or does it get saggy, stretched out of shape?

Edited to add another concern:  Does it pill easily?

I've noticed that too.  Waiting for the hanger to come through the fabric at the shoulder area.

No absolutely not see through at all. I own about 20 pieces and countimg of the different fabrications and none of them are see through. You can see when the models wear white under the TSV in Burgundy or Olive or any of the colors, you cannot see the white peaking through. It’s a fabulous fabric.

@Lucylu12   Thank you for responding.  Does the fabric lose its shape or pill?

Re: Barefoot Dreams question

@IamMrsG I have around 40 Barefoot Dreams items. I have no problem whatsoever with pilling.

None of mine can be considered see-through. I have every fabrication they make, whether it is the heaviest, down to the lightest (CozyChic Ultra Lite), and you can't see thru them.

You may be able to on TV sometimes because of their bright lights. But it has never been a problem for me. In fact, I don't recall anyone ever saying it was a problem with their BD item.

We have a big thread under Fashion for Barefoot Dreams Fan Chat. You are welcome to pop over there and ask your question and express your concern. There are lots and lots of long-time Barefoot Dreams customers. We all purchase from QVC, from the BD website, or from Amazon.....wherever we can find what we want. QVC is usually the best because of price and colors that are not available anywhere else, including the BD website.

You should try one of their items sometime and check it out on the feel, the wearability, wash it a few times, etc. You can always return it if it doesn't work out for you.

Re: Barefoot Dreams question

No pilling. I have three BD tunics that I lived in last winter. Honestly I wore nothing except those tunics for months. The fabric still looks as good as when I got them in spite of launderings. I've read reviews of other similar lines on QVC in which customers complain of almost immediate pilling of the fabric. I find it worth it to pay more to buy BD because of the higher quality fabric.

Thank you for your responses, @World Traveler  and @AuntMame .  Does the fabric stretch out of shape?

The tunics I have didn't. But I have only one type of garment.

Re: Barefoot Dreams question

I was flipping through the channels and I did hear her mention that you should fold or roll them up an not hang but I'm not sure if that was just for the long cardigan. I would think it would be for all of the items and I think it makes sense.

Re: Barefoot Dreams question

I’ve never had any issues.  I put all my pieces in washer and dryer....they go back to their brand new appearance so it’s lije they never wear out at all. They do not loose shape during wear just be sure to find your correct size so it doesn’t look saggy from being too large
