I have many BFD pieces purchased from QVC and the quality is the same as ordering from BFD website.  It does sound like you received a return.

In the past BFD has done items made for QVC for TSV's.  I cannot speak to the quality (I don't think I have bought one), but the quality now is not the quality the brand originally had.  They were originally made with bamboo, and no longer.  Now the softness is a finish on the item, and not inherent in the fabric.  I miss old school BFD

I purchased a long Barefoot Dreams cardigan sweater when it was a TSV.  It's a nice sweater but for the price I wasn't impressed enough to continue buying from this line since I've found many other sweaters I've liked better for half the price.  But on a positive note the sweater is very warm and soft and good for snuggling.  I purchased a size Large but could've easily taken the size Medium, but would rather have it too big than too small and kept it.
