I used to see the shows and ads for this overhyped brand and think, “What could possibly be so special about these overpriced loungewear outfits to justify those prices?” I live in NYC, not skipping along the beaches of LA in my Uggs.  But when I spotted a few items on sale, I figured—why knock it if I haven’t even given it a chance?

To my surprise, I think I’m officially hopping on the bandwagon. The fabric is incredibly soft and cozy against the skin, draping beautifully over the body without clinging or revealing too much. And the colors? Not nearly as drab as they appear on TV—nicely muted, but not faded.

Okay, okay -- yeah, yeah — I know I sound like one of the hosts. But the hype? Some of it’s real. At least, that’s been my experience so far.

My only concern now is durability. Time will tell. In the meantime, I’m pretty happy with my purchases—and yes, I’ll be watching for sales. My mother always taught me: never pay full price for anything.

I have a couple of pieces, but I cannot seem to find a good fit on an open front short cardi....I can't recall the original name or item number, but I have 2 sizes and I can't seem to keep either size on my shoulders, I like the slouchy look but not this particular item.   Enjoy!!

@Indra Congrats on your first BFD.  I have more than I want to admit and love them all.  They wear like iron and show no wear.  They are so comfy cozy especially on those cold winter days.   Enjoy.

They do look comfy. Over priced for nylon and my skin couldn't breathe.

@Indra  I remember thinking the same thing when I first saw it on the Q and then saw the prices. But then I tried my first piece, a Cozy Chic Lite, and never looked back. I am in Florida now so I don't really buy it anymoore as it's too warm for here but I have enough anyway. Way more than I need. It is incredible. Just know that to maintain the softness and drape you should only wash in cold on delicate and air dry or air fluff in dryer. No heat and no fabric softeners. They are investment pieces so a little extra care will keep them like new.

@fthunt I would be very cautious on buying BD on Amazon simply because there are a lot of counterfeiters out there. They even warn you about it on their website. Secondly, it's the old saying, "if it's too good to be true it probably isn't"

Re: Barefoot Dreams Convert

[ Edited ]

I fell hard for Barefoot Dreams.  I learned early to pick XS and to act fast!  They sell lke hot cakes.  Yes the prices are high....but to me the quality is just as high.  Sometimes I miss out (esepcailly if they are on sale) as I must tape because I work.  I only buy BD from QVC.
