Thank you for sharing this wonderful poem. Fall has always been my favorite season. Emily Dickinson is one of my favorite poets. We share the same birthday so I have always felt a connection with her.

The way she viewed the world was extraordinary. You share a birthday with a rare and wonderful soul. And I admire the Dalai Lama as well. I call him the Smiling Man because he always seems to be smiling. Wish I could be more like him and Emily.

@darkhomespun Your title "Autumn is Beautiful" sums it up perfectly! It is a beautiful time of year and my favorite. I love the feel of the cool fresh morning air on my face and curling up on the sofa watching the fire crackling in the fireplace. Let's not forget the wonderful smells coming from the kitchen with soups simmering and apple or pumpkin sweets baking in the oven. Yes... Autumn is a beautiful time of year!

I love Autumn- crisp, windy days with beautiful ochre, brown and dark green leaves on the trees. I love to cook minestrone, ham and bean or chicken and dumpling soups during this time of year. I'm looking forward to baking pecan pies, pumpkin bread and banana nut muffins . I'll even try my hand at making egg nog or apple cider. I love Autumn!
