It seems like so many sleeveless dresses and tanks have such HUGE armholes?  Why can't venders make them correct?  I have passed on so many fashions because of this defect.  Too bad.

It's  not a defect for women who have larger upper arms.

I don't wear sleeveless anything because I keep my arms covered, but I have trouble with most fashions because the arm holes and sleeves are way too small.

If I go up two sizes to accommodate my arms, the rest of the garment swims on me.

Not everyone needs smaller arm holes, but I wish I was in that catagory.

Eventually you will reach the stage where you wear sleeveless tops only under something else.  I swore I would never have those waving arms, yet now I do.

@bargainsgirl my biggest pet peeve !!  Why indeed ?!  I've had to send dresses back for just that reason although they fit great otherwise .  Please vendors stop with the huge armholes !

@Carmie   I understand ,  us on the other side with small upper arms though have the exact opposite problem .  It's a dilemma both ways .   I do however order petite so I do expect a smaller arm hole .

@Kitty Galore   I wear petite sizes as well.

My mother's side family all have larger upper arms....I inherited it from them.  Thankfully, my daughter doesn't have that problem.

Sometimes I am asked if I play tennis...No, I just have tennis arms.

I suppose many of us have issues when it comes to the fit of off the rack clothing.

@Carmie I'm just the opposite.  I have wide shoulders, wear a large, but my arms are thin.

D&Co tee shirts are too big in the upper arms for me.

Sleeveless just doesn't cover my straps...they are too wide for most.

I'm amazed at the number of sleeveless tops and dresses they've shown this year when so many women won't wear them, especially in the D&C line.  I'd surely like to know who is designing that stuff because he/she/they seemed to be completely out of touch with the demographic.

I have never had this problem. Is this usually in the larger sizes? I wear a lot of sleeveless dresses and tank tops, I just never have that issue and I've heard many complaints.

Could it be a different bra would make the difference? Some bra's, I have found, are cut higher in the armpit, therefore the bra shows.

I hear ya - It drives me bonkers!!!

I have small arms (upper and lower), but because of my DD cup size, I have to order XL tops and dresses, and the armholes are so large, you get a full-on side view of my bra and breasts.

Frustrating for sure - Especially, when it's hot & humid, and you don't want to wear a shrug, sweater or jacket.
