I meant by used...items that have been owned by others. I assume they were used. QVC calls them "pre-owned". "Pre-Owned" to me, means "used". Of course I don't know how often someone wears something.

I did not mean "as-is". Which I know QVC has sold for a while. But I was refereing to the designer handbags and now scarves that they are selling.

I suppose that using the term pre-owned is a fancier way of selling thrift items.

Several of the scarves are listed as being in "Excellent" condition.

One is "Very Good; some pulls and stains"

@SewHappy2 - I haven't seen those ("pre-owned"). Where do you find them? I'd like to have a look.

Not only do they re-sell many of the returns in the "as is" category, there are TONS of stuff (mostly clothing from vendors here) on amazon. I suppose if no one buys as is here, the goods are then shipped to amazon, prices are not always better there but TONS of labels there that were here but sold no more as well from vendors who still sell here (logo for one has TONS of stuff on amazon).

No, I am not interested in buying items like that used. I don't know the details of how/why QVC started selling these items, but if I'm going to buy something like that, I want it to be brand new. Regardless of the pricetag.

I can buy used items at a garage sale. lol

@LindaSal There are times that you think and hope you are paying for brand new items but when you get the goods you find they too are used and returned items. Clearly when you look at the goods, touch them, feel them, smell them, you KNOW they are not brand new. Sad but true.
