@kitcat51 I was wondering when did Capris become crop pants. I am 5'2" and don't wear crops. I do wear capris but I prefer the skinny ones.

@Kachina624 that's why I prefer to wear capris because at my height they look so much better on me.

I see lots of capris, crops, and pedal pushers in my retirement community (Arizona). But, on my recent trip to Canada, I noticed most women wore shorts, long pants/jeans, or leggings. Since I have some pretty ugly leg veins, I prefer to cover my knees -- pedal pushers suit me the best, but I also wear capris, crops, etc. Old enough not to be overly concerned what is "in" despite really wanting to look nice.

I don't worry about what's considered "outdated" or not, I wear what I like. I just prefer capris that I think are flattering for my body type.

I wear capris and shorts in the summer.
It doesn't bother me if they're in style or not.

@kitcat51 And between shorts and capris are pedal pushes which fall just below the knee.
I wear what I like. I am outdated, my pants might as well be too!

I feel so blessed to be free not to worry about how others feel about whether pants hit at my calf or not. I can't even say how good I feel about that! Life is good!

I think the OP is right about a decline in their popularity. However, I'd say to wear what you are comfortable wearing. If malls had fashion police, there would be a lot more offensive items (like people wearing old pajamas).

I prefer a crop vs.capri but must admit my summer uniform has been either shorts or (mostly) leggings.
Wear what you love and feel good in.
