I think I'm just over the skinny/jegging look in jeans.  I ordered the Belle jeggings (great reviews).  I sized up and they fit, but I just don't love them.

@Trudey  I just had another thought about this topic.  Around here, big, round booties are soooooo much the rage.  You should see what the young girls go through to try and build them up at the gym....LOL!  Obviously, the leggings emphasize that area for them (they don't wear long shirts with them, either).  Unfortunately, some of the older, heavier gals have picked up on the trend too.  Those girls think they will be young and firm forever........I chuckle when I think about what will happen to them in a few years after they stop going to the gym so much, and maybe have a couple babies!

If you're on the coasts, you've probably seen them. I have never stopped wearing mine--not to be confused the the really wide hippie style legs.

About a week ago, I read in a business article that the straight leg/flowing top cycle has been going for about 10 years and it looks like there is a change in silhouette coming.  You always have the early adopters, "hip," mainstream and then waning cycles. The Q will always either be slightly ahead or slightly behind and that is because they often plan production of some items a year in advance. We've already seen the wide leg pants and jeans with peasant tops. Boot leg pants don't look as neat, but they are certainly more figure flattering for curvier frames and you don't need tunics, you can pair them up with leaner tops.

Did not think they were ever “out”. At least not here. I see just as many of them as slim leg.

I have both, like both too. Depends on the look you are going for. Kind of like the color/wash of the denim.

I ordered the QF boot cut in all four colors ... the short is 29", but I think with fall boots they'll be fine ... in fact, I'm glad they are that length.  

The buy more and save was a great incentive, too.

I just pitched 4 pairs of bootcut jeans in favor of new straight leg jeans.  I think for me, I was just getting tired of the look - on me.

All I see in my area are leggings and skinny jeans. Since I love skinny jeans, I'm happy.

If they went out of style, no one told me, I still wear them and they are flattering on my shape.

...and the "short" as opposed to "petite" proportions doesn't cut it.  Ordered a pair a few years ago.  The waistband came up to the bottom of my bra.  Returned them.  Never again.
