Appropriate for outdoor wedding?

I bought both a white and turquoise eyelet skirt. I plan to wear one of them to an outdoor wedding in August, but I'm not sure what kind of top would be appropriate. I want something that has short sleeves and no cinched waist. Would chiffon go with cotton eyelet? Any suggestions?
