Re: Anyone else disappointed with fall fashion days?

Not disappointed at all - probably because I wasn't expecting much after looking at the list of vendors on the program guide.  I don't buy many of them.

  • I'm only interested in tops .... I have plenty of pants and shoes - so I didn't even bother to look at them.  I make my own sweaters - so no interest in those at all.

-----------------------------

I saw one of Renee's tops that I liked - but it had 3/4 sleeves.  I wasn't crazy about neckline, but I could fix that.  I don't wear 3/4 sleeves.

I liked the JR shirt, but I alread have similar shirts in "my" colors.

What really surprised me was LOGO .... I didn't like any of her pieces.  Usually I"m drooling over LOGO.

Re: Anyone else disappointed with fall fashion days?

I didn't watch much, most likely because I'm not interested in new fall/winter clothes.   I did see several items I'd buy if I were still a snowbird.   As it is though I can wear what I have for the rest of 2023 and never feel out of place anywhere I'm likely to go.

I was also disappointed in the offerings.  Just more of the same in darker colors.  Too many Isaac tee shirts and endless Barefoot Dreams.  Do they ever run out of either?  It's this ponderous, mind-numbing repetition that runs people away.

I didn't even see anything that tempted me.

@Kachina624   The Barefoot Dreams popularity escapes me, the fabrics look a lot like the Peace World items which seems overpriced also for the fabric.  Never have purchased Isaac probably never will as my tees come from Costco and Talbots.

Normally I don't watch QVC clothing shows but liked the Kim TSV jacket so I paid attention a bit.

I also purchased due to a suggestion from a fellow poster a CCB linen blend button down.  Don't think it was presented item A548972.  Nicely surprised with the quality from the only other CCB shirt that I purchased recently on clearance also.  Smiley Happy

Re: Anyone else disappointed with fall fashion days?

We really don't have a fall season anymore.  Our weather goes from summer to winter.  I have so many fall jackets that I never wear, so I am not buying any more fall clothing.

I also do not look great in fall colors like olive, mustard, brown, taupe and burnt orange.  I noticed these colors are big this year.

For now, I am trying to enjoy what's left of summer.  I am a fair weather person and I am not looking forward to the cold.

The Farmers Almanac is predicting a rough winter, not a mild one like last year.

@rockygems123.  The only thing I've gotten from CCB was a lightweight cardigan sweater.  After occasionally wearing it around the house, it's a solid mass of pills.  Never again.

Re: Anyone else disappointed with fall fashion days?

I have lost close to 60lbs since last August and need everything for fall/winter.  I'm still losing and I'm hesitant to just assume I'll be a certain size by mid October.  All the "only order" warnings make me nervous.  I put several things on my wishlist.  I did buy WWC pants in ivory.  I found leather boots in ivory in my closet.  I can zip them up now!  I can even tuck skinny jeans in them if I want to. Keeping them for  "when I lost weight" paid off.  I bought ankle boots but I'm 90% sure I'm going to return them.  I don't need them.  It was an impulse buy.

Re: Anyone else disappointed with fall fashion days?

Watched some, but it didn't seem special in any way.  I could have seen the same thing on any given day of the week when those vendors are on.  QVC has narrowed down the number of clothing brands it features, so much of what was on seemed like the same old same old.  I would never pay the prices charged for Barefoot Dreams and the other brands have skyrocketed in the past two years.  Nothing much under fifty dollars anymore.  More between sixty and eighty and I'm not paying that.  Funny story - a friend loves to go shopping at thrift stores.  We have one here that is attached to a hospital and where all the doctors' wives donate their very expensive clothing.  This friend found a brand new Barefoot Dreams jacket for FOUR dollars.

Re: Anyone else disappointed with fall fashion days?

Not disappointed.  I figured all along that they'll probably only present new items a little during the past weekend, then more & more via the upcoming fashion TSVs.  I didn't see anything I wanted at all this weekend.

This coming week there are three fashion TSVs  -- D&Co., Susan Graver, and Anybody.

I'm hoping Idina Menzel sticks around and has new fall/winter items.  I love the styles and quality of her spring/summer fashion.
