@shaggygirl I think the sausage casing look is a QVC phenomena. I don't see it out and about and even my skinnies don't fit the way most of the jeans are presented on QVC!

@Andreatoo. Have you tuned in to HSN lately?  I'm  surprised they haven't been shut down for obscene displays.  I get embarassed for the models.  You'd think they'd be humiliated but they just keep smiling.

I would try traditional retailers such as LL Bean and Lands' End.

I buy the tall shirts at Lands End but I find there are plenty of pants here.

@Lake4  I don't blame you.  Yes, an over abundance of ankle pants.  There should be more full length pants.  Just like the high low hem on tops which I absolutely hate.  I think designers run out of ideas and go crazy and we pay the price.

Right?! I was mortified for the models when they presented the Giuliana TS! An x-ray would've exposed more!

I probably should've added HSN but it seems to be mostly exclusive to DG2

Nope, I only wear ankle pants. I am tall so every pair of pants end up looking like ankle pants on me! Much easier to wear my boots when you have ankle pants!

I find jeans in all leg styles, from skinny to wide leg.  I would suggest you shop around a little more.  On here there are several designers that have different size legs.  Also on Amazon.

@Lake4

I agree there are lots of ankle pants out there all year long. They showed them in winter with ankle boots. My legs would get cold. I think they make more sense in warm months, but I prefer a full length pant. I have bought full length pants at Macy’s, Ann Taylor, Talbots, Kohl’s, Stein Mart, JCP, and the now closed Dress Barn & Chadwick’s, but the selection is definitely limited.

I am beginning to think the ankle pant is becoming like the 3/4 sleeve. It saves the manufacturers money, because they don’t have to use as much fabric or worry about a precise length. I have heard vendors and hosts say that it wherever the ankle pant hits on your leg is fine. I disagree.

I love ankle pants, actually they are my favorite length.  I love them showcasing my shoes. Smiley Very Happy   Plus, they look great in every season; boots, heels, flats all work.

In fact, I was looking at Kim Gravel's new FlexiBelle crop pants with the studded split in the back of the leg.  Loved them, but did not purchase.  If they were ankle pants, or offered in Tall [making them ankle pants on me], I would have purchased at least two colors.

I have a couple of crop jeans, and long (above the knee, slim-fit) shorts.  I never wear capris.

@Caaareful Shopper.  If I buy Bermudas, they come below my knee and make perfect capris.  I find that length more flattering than crops, which tend to make shorter people look dumpy.

Ankle pants are approximately 1 to 2 inches shorter than standard pants.  Think about it.  Manufacturers save tons money by telling you it's fashionable.
