@Texasmouse wrote:Ok, speaking of ankle pants... and apologies to the OP, I don't mean to highjack the thread... for those of you who don't like to go barefoot inside your shoes, what do you wear on your feet? I hate the feeling of my bare feet inside my shoes (not a problem with sandals) and those little footies never stay on. I wear nude ankle-highs (like knee-highs but they are crew sock height) under full-length pants. I can't wear them with ankle pants because they don't come up high enough. If I wear knee-highs with my slim-fitting ankle pants, the pants "grab" the knee-highs and I have to tug my pant legs down, every time I stand up. Anyone else have this problem? I'd love to hear suggestions. TIA
If not wearing sandals, I just wear those "peds"...flesh colored silky feeling 1/2 "socks" that covers toes. Just keep shoes from sticking and also slide on better.

I'm really short and if I purchase a women's regular length pants, it turns out to be a long cropped/ankle length on me. I think how it looks and if you like it depends if they hit at a flattering part of your leg.

I know this is an older thread, but...
I have a love/hate relationship with ankle pants. I love the look...slim, straight with a little slit. I feel blessed if I find a pair that actually hits me at the ankle! The best inseam for me in ankle pant is an inch longer than most ankle pant inseams. For the most part, ankle pants end up looking like floods on me. I tend to look for my longest inseam and either roll or hem. Always, always something!

Years ago Sport Savy (remember) made ankle pants. Loved them and still have a few pair.

I have several pairs of ankle pants. I agree with the poster who said that they need to be worn with bit of a heel. I like to wear a pointy toed flat, or a dressier shoe. Ankle pants with sneaks is not a good look on me. Maybe it's because I wear a sz 9 shoe.

I love ankle pants! I have 2 pair of Isaac's but the brand I love best are the JM brand from Macy's! I am 5'6" about 135! Size 8 in both fit me well!
At Macy's I get them at a better price using my coupons!!

Don't care to see heels and ankle pants or slacks worn together. Not a good look. That woman on the insurance commercial that wears heels and slacks ugh!!!. Maybe a small heel but the higher heel-no.

I loved Sport Savy and seemed like it sold well. I sometimes wonder why the good lines disappear.

At 5'1", I wear a size 8 shoe!!! Brother and Dad wore size 14 but they were over 6'2". I try to avoid the pointy toes. I think they elongate my feet.

This is me in my pointy flats. I think the shoe makes my not slim ankles look better in ankle leggings.
