I have never tried ankle pants.  I have always thought that they just looked like pants that were too short.  But now, I'm considering trying a pair.  I'm 5'7" and not sure what is the correct length for me..there seems to be a fine line between a length that is flattering and just wonky looking pants.  If you wear ankle pants, please give me some advice on what I need to look for.  Recommendations are appreciated.

I'm 5'10" and plus size.  I think ankle pants are most flattering on me when they are slim but and a little shorter than ankle length and a little longer than crops, usually a few inches above my ankle bone.

I agree with @RollTide2008 in that they need to be above the ankle lest you're going for the 'flooding' look

I tried my first pair a couple of years ago when evine had some on clearance for $6.00! They were also yellow so I was REALLY stepping out of my box...

Wound up going back for a second pair!

@Andreatoo @RollTide2008. Thanks!  I'm thinking of trying these "crop" pants by Dennis Basso.  The length is 25" and I like the slim legs.

I like ankle pants.

I have several pair of ankle pants and I really like them. I am petite 5'1" and I find them to be flattering. I have the skinny ankle. They fit close to the body but I like the way they look.

I like ankle pants, particularly in the summer with sandals or ballet flats.

Generally I wear black or navy pants in every length.  I have several pairs of white ankle pants that I love.

I love ankle pants and agree that you want to fully show your ankle and can go a bit above that.  I love wearing mine with heels.  You can really show off a great pair of shoes in ankle pants.

I love ankle pants.  I like them better than crops or capris.   I can wear a ballet shoe, a sandal, or a wedge with them.   They're my favorite pant
