Re: Angel from quacker factory

I definitely agree with the poster about Angel.

I also feel she is sloppy looking and doesn't make such a great impression. Personally I would never buy clothes from her.

She wears them way too tight and way too short. It cuts her height. People are not aware that wearing short tops cuts off your torso and makes your legs look shorter.

They never seem to have longer tops on the Q and I don't bother buying whether I like the style or not. If you wear longer tops you don't look short waisted and your legs look longer

Whether you are thin and wear short tops, some backsides do not look flattering.

some of you need to grow up. If we are supposedly ""bashing"" the show hosts or vendors we are just giving an opinion. stop being so defensive

Why are you afraid we are telling the truth?

I don't wear "quack", but it is still going strong somewhere. I don't think quackers care about rules, just fun, Angel is a good representative.

Re: Angel from quacker factory

I think Angel is a very good representative for Quacker Factory. She has a very good on air disposition and the clothes flatter her figure (one of the reasons she was handpicked to be a regular model for the line). Angel modeled the line for years and apparently became very close to the Head Quack, Jeanne Bice during that time. Jeanne wanted Angel to succeed her on air. Angel had began to appear on late night shows as the Quacker representative about a year or so before Jeanne died.

I really like her. I think she brings a little younger appeal to the line and I think she is cute and funny. I think she is doing a great job and I enjoy watching her. Jean would be proud.

Re: Angel from quacker factory

I know that Jeanne enjoyed having Angel as a model. She also loved Maria (the blonde) and spoke highly of her at every possible chance. But many seem to have forgotten how fond she was of Patti Riley. It seems to me that Angel fell in when Patti left, although my memory is not as good as it once was.

Not meaning to be unkind here, but I don't recall anyone having said (with authority) that Jeanne handpicked Angel to be her successor. I watched almost all Jeanne's shows for years, and I don't recall her ever mentioning anyone taking over. I have to agree with Peg55 that Angel frequently looks sloppy - like perhaps she didn't get there in time for anyone to give her a bit of grooming before she went on camera. Personally I'd love to see a little more sophistication in the QF representative, and a lot less bling on the clothing. I'm not sure Jeanne would be thrilled with what's happening to her line.

You want her to wear a sweatband on her head like Jeanne did? Seriously, when was JB ever sophisticated?

Where did I say Jeanne was sophisticated. In her own unique way, I definitely think she had plenty of class. But I said I would like more sophistication. And I said Jeanne might well be disappointed in what's happening to her line. She did beautiful embroideries, appliqués, etc. This overdone bling is of no interest to me, and I recall her saying she would have liked to continue that quality also.

As for the headband, it was her trademark. It worked for her, and she wouldn't have been Jeanne without it. Goodness knows, it's better than seeing her Happy Dance or shaking her booty at the camera; and I don't think she would have identified with a karate chop. Just MHO, and I 'm sticking to it.

Re: Angel from quacker factory

You are certainly entitled to your opinion, Perkup. I thought you were suggesting that Jeanne and her line was more sophisticated in the past. I enjoyed watching her, because she was a loose cannon. Her shows were never boring. However, she was quite rough around the edges.
