I ordered a sweater that I think several of you may have. It's the tip-cuffed sweater in Ivory with Indigo tipping on the pleated-flounce sleeves.

I am planning to wear it casually but also wanted to wear it with black trousers. Now, Talbots indigo blue is as about as dark as blue can get. Do you think it would work with black pants? TIA.

Absolutely.  I was always taught about mixing navy and black by my fashion plate relatives!  I have on navy pants, navy boots, black,  light blue , medium blue pasley fleece and a black turtle neck.  I have been wearing this often, it is warm and fit for working out!

I love Talbots and think your sweather will be fine with black slacks!

I think it would work. Even if it was black and not indigo there are many different shades of black so it could be different from the black of your trousers.  You're never guaranteed to get two blacks to match perfectly anyway.

That's a lovely sweater.

I think it would work either way. If the navy trim is very dark, it will pass for black. If it's not, it will contrast with the black pants. Navy and black work together. In fact, today l purchased a North Face down jacket for DH. It's black/navy colorblocked.

YES!  It would great with black or dark wash jeans. My absolute fav store.....I used to buy all my nursing admin., suits and blouses from there before I had to retire due to an injury. 

Talbots is the best & they stay current and treat their customers like gold. ⭐️
