I LOVE dresses--I have too many to wear, all lengths and styles.

But, I like my dresses that are not for work to be standouts--a bit elegant and eye-catching, very colorful and a tiny bit sexy.  Even the casual dresses need to have a good fit.

I have also decided not to buy items that I only like--I should really love them.

So, I do not really like this dress hanging loose--the style looks a little too drab on the body.  Belted makes it a more chic look.

I am also going to pass, although I do think 100% cotton is nice for Summer, and the longer sleeves will work for Spring.

I just ordered Susan Graver's cotton flower eyelet dress for Summer--it should arrive soon, and I hope it fits. I also previously bought Susan's Soleil popover dress, and I really like that one--it has such a nice bounce and swirl when you put it on!

@FancyPhillyshopper I just received that SG dress and it is adorable. I got the white and it is exactly what I was hoping for. I think it will meet your criteria.

Re: Amy Stran's TSV dress

[ Edited ]

Johnny Was has a dress very similar to Amy's TSV which is $198.00.  Demarne Abstract Print, tiered.  The tiered means the bottom part which is of a similar but smaller print.

Dillard's Antonio Melani has one, Brynne printed voile, $199.00 so this must have been a hot dress this year.

I think Amy looked great in the dress......didn't see Kirsten , but can't imagine she (Kirsten) looking bad in anything. That being said, some people look good in almost everything, and others have to choose judiciously. Whether the dress is appealing style-wise is another story. JMHO, I liked it, and the cotton content is a plus for me.

I don't care for the studio park collabs with the hosts-- at all.  So no surprise I am not a fan of the dress.  I feel like the line is just a series of overpriced fashion experiments.  Being a tv host and in the clothing sales industry might make you a good stylist, but a designer?  I don't think the styles hold up.

Like the dress-- over powering print with a belt, a border, tassels AND a puff elastic sleeve.  That's a lot and then look at the length-- frumpy to the mid knee.  YIKES

@justashopper..I agree w/ all u said about these basically collab fashion experiments. I like Amy and her style,? but that dress was a disaster. Can u imagine the returns? 😛

@matty liz The item# is A647474. I'm 5'6" and it is more of a midi length on me which I prefer. When you look at the picture it looks shorter on the taller models. I bought the white and will wear it with some pretty flat sandals. It's perfect for those occasions when you want to look pretty but not necessarily dressed up.

I like the soft, tiered and flurred dresses this summer. Amy's is a stiff and hot looking. Not for me.
