Re: All the layers of lace and chiffon?

Yes a bit of an exaggeration.  There are not layers and layers.  There is some chiffon trim or lace trim here or there.  I'll be going out to dinner today with my family and I will proudly wear my logo cardigan and tank with the dotted swiss godets.  No big layers, and it will look and feel awesome!!  I will be comfy and if I get a spot on it, no problem, just wash and hang.  It won't look like a little girls party dress or Baby Jane either!!!

Re: All the layers of lace and chiffon?

O.K. - exagerrating - I am glad you ladies are happy with your lace - I guess even wearing two layers makes me nuts - menopause makes me very hot - you will see when you get there - or maybe you passed it.   Even when I was a young girl I refused to wear the long granny dresses that were in style -

I also think lace, chiffon, and all the other stuff makes most people look fat.  But - this board is for opinions -

@CaneCorsoMom

No one is denying you your opinion but when you use phrases like 'all the layers' and then draw a line between today's fashions and 'Whatever Happened to Baby Jane' what are we to think?

As I previously stated I haven't been to a christening nor a quincinera lately so I don't see any over the top layers; only some trim on an otherwise pedestrian t-shirt (that often elevates and feminizes it) or a single overlay of ONE or the OTHER.
