Re: Adding a belt to a blazer

That would be like a male wearing his belt over his suitcoat instead of his pants...

@San Antonio Gal  No, I don't like the look. The belt seems unnecessary. Although I do love the glen plaid blazer.

Have substituted a wide leather belt over a coat that had a cloth tie belt

@San Antonio Gal I do not care for belts but I do like the belt on the brown (suede?) blazer.

I agree with the other posters that they add bulk whre none is needed (or appreciated!) Smiley Very Happy

Re: Adding a belt to a blazer

I don't like just adding a belt to a blazer. I think if the blazer is designed with a belt closure and included belt loops in the back the fitting would be more pleasing.

No I don't like the look as a rule.  And no I've never belted a blazer unless it came with a belt.    Just not me.

Re: Adding a belt to a blazer

It's OK for a change of style on someone tall.  But I think on most people it would break the line up, and not be as flowing and flattering   Pants with a belt. And a blazer closed or open.     I don't even like a belt, so for me no. But a couple of photos were cute
