Re: ANYBODY ELSE READY TO THINK SPRING/SUMMER FASHIONS?

No not at all. I love winter clothing and hate Spring/ Summer clothing. I do not like how un -kept and wrinkly they get. I hate hot weather. I am enjoying my nice comfy winter clothing! I love being able to wear different shoes and boots also different scarves and coats or jackets.

nooooooooooooooooo......i want to still enjoy my "cold weather" clothing. i am not thinking about warmer weather or "warm weather" clothing.

Yeah, that's how I feel. I just got a really cute cashmere sweater that I might get to wear once this year at the rate we're heating up here.

I've already bought a shirt and tee in spring colors; of course they are hanging in the off-season closet for a few months, but I go look at them when the weather is dreary. Pendleton is great quality and their sales are true sales. Clothes arrive on hangers in dry cleaner bags in a box--no scrunched up mess in a shipper. And their sizes are consistent. Styles are conservative but you can wear them forever.

Re: ANYBODY ELSE READY TO THINK SPRING/SUMMER FASHIONS?

After retiring, I am finding that I need to "re-think" my fashion based on a more updated look. What is working so far is a tapered, almost legging jean (Dream Jeanne legging and it is a lighter fabric than the 5 pocket style -- in petite), Land's End Starfish tunic; Caslon zip tunic (in petite) and it has pockets! Never thought I would get this coordinated for a person as short as I am, but having luck! Next will probably be the shoes... maybe a fabric smooth boot to continue the slim line of the pant leg? Will add scarves for color. Is this a summer look? No, it is a bit heavy for hot summer, but I'd call it transitional.

I am surprised at the number of responses saying NOOOOOOOOOOOOO. You clearly enjoy winter weather so you can sport your chunky sweaters and good-looking boots!

Maybe you live in a more temperate climate than I do?

NO. I wear jeans & have plenty of new ones. I bought a dozen new tees on summer clearance so I'm set. I love winter clothes too, hate the summers here.

I live in northern New England and as I said love Winter clothing and hate Summer clothing and the heat! As they say I guess that is why they make different flavors of ice cream. Great thread.....interesting to see what others like and do not like.
