@Bird mama     A caring gift from your niece.  If it keeps you warm and comfy in the chilling evenings, good for you.  I ain't too worried about styling in my family room when I'm cold.

One of our college granddaugters requested one of these last year for her birthday.  Apartment at school was a little cool in winter months.

NOT caring for the TSV for myself or for gifting. so no interest, BUT am interested to hear your favorite homemade cookie.  One of my favorites is Applesauce Jumbles and another favorite is Caramel Brownies.  What is your favorite?

@Nonametoday   I can appreciate that.  I have to watch elastic as I can't stand feeling clinced.  I was conditioned from the time I got out of a diaper to wearing underpants that had elastic so that's not what I'm talking about.  Elastic around waist -  skirts or pants, elastic at the elbow or cuff on tops - no can do.

When I say I run cold I am not whistling Dixie.  I usually put that poncho thing on before I go to sleep over a full  sleeping outfit that involves long sleep pants and long sleeve sleep shirt.

There are many elements: wind, fire, water
But none quite like the element of surprise

@Bird mama

My itch was borne in me, I think. My grandmother told of nights that she would check me for head or body lilce, bed bugs because I complained of itching and on observing, she realized it was certain fabrics and she began making gowns for me of cotton.

@1 DancinQueen  I'm not much of a cookie or cake person.  I would say my favorite cookie would be some of the Christmas cookies my sister makes.  I would have to ask her the names.  Clearly I'm not the baker in the family, she gives me tins of different kinds of cookies and I eat them, lol.

@Shanus   You seem to really have a house full and now stormy weather threatening your area.  Wishing you the best of luck juggling all of that.

@Bird mama  What a great cozy poncho!

This week my ponte pants and cardigans arrived. Nothing fancy. I'm going to wear them around the house with flannel shirts and long sleeve tops I have from LL B and L E.

I bought these ponte flares in blue and black.

I needed to replace a blue & a black cardigan. Bought these.

I wanted pockets, but no ripped jeans for me.

Well, it's Oct 1.  Guess with the temperature change I can start the clothing switch in my closet from summer to transitional/winter clothing.  NOT looking forward to this, but need to put the flip flops away as my tootsies are chilly.  Love the change of seasons we have, but the fashion switch is a pain.  The highlight is bringing out some items I forgot I had and then get excited to wear them.  Am I the only one?

My Ariat southwestern shirt jacket arrived ... I got it from the Boot Barn ... sans cowgirl hat.

@1 DancinQueen

I do that all the time ... am amazed when I find something in one of my clothing bins that I'd completely forgotten about.
