@LTT1 I did get the shingles vaccine a few years ago and the reaction to the shot may have been worse than shingles. I was sick for a week!!!

Well, hoods...I do better WITH them...my hair is so thin the hood part adds some "fake fullness"!
And it seems like year round, the weather can rain in an instant.
Maybe I'm not looking at things the right way for summer...but a lightweight fabric with a hood seems like it could work?

@LTT1 I wear lightweight sweatshirts with the hood folded in and then just them around my shoulders for a little color. Yep, Shanus has added pops of color to the neutral clothing.
Most women at the art show yesterday who were artists were all in black, the makeup counter people and Sephora/Ulta sales people wear black. I think being around all that color makes you stand out more and rests the eye.

That sounds delightful!
I have a little baby bird story:
yesterday, I looked out my sliding glass window to see two "adult" birds and a little tiny puff ball!
I had heard sounds of a "scuffle" near my back door.
When I went down to get in my car, there was the little puff ball on the pavement...right behind my car.
I started talking to it to see if it was alive.
It's eyelids seemed to blink, but it didn't move away.
Took a deep breath and backed VERY SLOWLY out of my space.
Looked in the rear view mirror and the little baby bird was GONE. Only one of the adult birds was in the road staring at me driving away as if to say "where do you think you are going? You nearly drove over my baby!"
Emotional, Inwas nearly in tears!

I have trouble with vaccines historically...they set off my LP (Lichen planus) because they affect my immunity (which they are supposed to do).
So, I have avoided the shot.
At one point, though, last week, I was starting to wish I had taken it.

@LTT1 Every oince in a while a bird will fly into out front door or the living room window and stun themselves with impact. This happened (again) on Thursday. Hubby went outside to check the mailbox and there was a tiny little thing just sitting on the porch floor. He came around tto the back and told me, i went out front to check, sure enough no movement. I was going to get my garden gloves to move him to a safer location out back, before I got around to the side of the house, he must have shaken it off and flew away because he was gone.

I have a short pixie cut and one of the things I like is that a hooded top sits high on the back of my neck. I hate when the back of a top falls to low.

Good morning!
It's forecasted to be a rainy weekend & week here. I'm going to go outside & see if there are any more places that need grass seed so I can take advantage of the free sprinkler.
I finished writing my 14th novel at 11pm last night. It's different than my other novels in that it has more action & a tiny drop of humor here & there.
I liked my new weed wacker so much that I used it yesterday on many parts of my yard & then went in the house and ordered a 2nd one.
Enjoy the weekend.
