Re: AM Style Chat - July 16th, 2022

Ouch! @LTT1  I hope it heals quickly.

I'm contemplating buying the TSV in the print that has purple in it. I like that this TSV has short sleeves, and I need the petite.

@Bird mama  So funny!

@Caaareful Shopper   I can't wear solid black, especially near my face.  I'm a natural redhead with fair skin and if I wear solid back near my face I look like all that's missing is the casket and rosary.  I am considering the animal print.

@Bird mama   I do get your being hesitant. I'm as fair as this background behind my tying here. Silver hair and green eyes and I still wear black. The solution for me is a lower neck so not near the face, a few silver chains, pearls or light/colorful necklaces, more blush and a brighter lip and I'm fine.It does require adjustments. I'll never give up my black clothing.

My dryer stopped generating heat late on 4th of July.  I have clotheslines in the back yard so between the outside line and the 'air dry setting' on the dryer I managed to limp along.  It took me until Friday the 8th to learn enough from youtube to be able to identify the dryer parts most often responsible for no heat.  I ordered an igniter on the 8th, it arrived yesterday and I installed it.  I was so happy to be able to fix my own dryer for just under $57. I'm still going to use the outside clothesline when the weather cooperates.

The cost of the dryer repair and my new Attitudes by Renee dress is still less than what it would have cost me for a repair tech to simply walk through my front door. Woman Happy

Good for you, Bird Mama! Congratulations!  I remember having  that feeling years ago when one of my car headlights went out and I bought the new headlight and installed it myself. Woman Very Happy

and let me mention this... I don't get very excited about fashions until I see Candace Cameron Bure's pictures on Instagram. To my way of thinking, that is a better way to "see" or imagine  fashion!

Re: AM Style Chat - July 16th, 2022

@Lake4  You know, there was a time the Kenmore man would show up in a van that had any part you needed.  This dryer acted up a year after I bought it.  Sears was still a presence in Michigan and the Kenmore guy showed up and it cost me for him to come through the door.  It was a timing fuse which of course he didn't have on the truck.  He ordered the part, I gave him my card and they shipped it to my house.  He said it would cost me another tech fee for him to come back and install it.  I went on youtube and watched some videos.

By the time the part came I was ready to replace it myself.  When Sears called to say that they knew the part was delivered  and they wanted to schedule a tech to install it, it felt good to be able to say no thanks I did it myself.

@1 DancinQueen

Thank you!

I keep forgetting "my age"!

By looking away as I was entering the tub, my toe got "jabbed!"

Sitting in the otherwise soothing warm water, I was thinking "I really should run cold water over this (and ice) but was unwilling to get out and do it! So I endured the aftermath instead!

Re: AM Style Chat - July 16th, 2022

@Bird mama   Good afternoon! Raining like crazy here today, started middle of the night. It's okay, we need the rain and I don't have to use my water for the garden!

Yes, this dress is another great one at a fab price too!  I'd probably get one or two if I didn't already buy up LOTS of summer dresses this year (all midis too). Love this fabric Renee uses, very flowy, wash hang to dry DONE. I have two of A451792, more $$ but very nice, look good, feel good. I'm tempted to get another of this style, there's another color I'd LOVE to have!

Hope you are well, dodge the raindrops today! Enjoy your weekend.

Re: AM Style Chat - July 16th, 2022

@Mom2Dogs   I buy petites for my 5'4", Renee's are perfect for me. In fact I've picked up lots of new dresses this summer, simple column dresses by muk luks in petite (one style with pockets 4 colors of this one, 2 others without pickets, size M fits and looks great on me. I also picked up 4 colors in that denim & co naturals linen with buttons down the front. They don't work and no pockets but really nice.

(someone pls tell me to stop scooping up summer dresses!!! )
