My biggest problem with the total gym @Jtdmum  was the lousy videos that came with it.  The instructors (male or female) would be working out on one exercise and then the video was edited to show them doing the next exercise with a different set up.  There are alot of parts to the total gym and I didn't like having to pause the DVD to study and match the next set up so that I could exercise with the instructor.  Messed with my flow, lol.

@Bird mama When I exercise I really hate to have to concentrate on exercising - if that makes sense.  So I guess I understand where you;re coming from.

Sorry the TG didn't work.  Getting rid of unwanted equimpent that size is a huge burden.  Took me forever to get my rarely used treadmill out of my basement and off to a recycle event.

@lolakimono  Sorry you had to go back to work already

@Bird mama  I never pay attention to any of the make-up pitches. I use Neutrogena foundation, moisturizer, & blush, MAC brow gel, & Almay mascara - and not in a scuba dress lol.

I've had a terrible week. I injured my right arm. I have horrible pain, and have no mobility above the elbow. I can't drive, bathe the dogs, lift, etc. I type slowly with my left hand. I'm feeling pretty miserable and isolated. My neighbor is a gem; she drove me to urgent care & bought me groceries. I have no appetite. I'm allergic to numerous Rx's & otc (Tylenol, Alieve, aspirin) and seizured a few years ago from it. I was given a sling which doesn't help & hurts my neck. I'll see the ortho doc Thursday or next Monday - neighbor's days off. I had shoulder surgery 15 years ago; I'd rather give birth.

My mom would try to make me laugh and tell me to look on the bright side - I'm losing weight. She would also have helped me. My millenial is back east finishing the physics doctorate this year at the ivy league & working already as a data scientist so can't come back for this. I haven't even mentioned how my arm worsened since 12/30; it would just cause more upset. Remember all that extra work I took home & extra days I took off? I printed some documents and twisted left to read them while working on laptop (70+ hours) The UC doc says my arm is likely due to overuse/repetitive motion. In 2-3 weeks I'm scheduled for 6 weeks of physical therapy. I will be out of work for several weeks now.

On the fashion front, I can only wear button front shirts, not even a bra - can't maneuver. I'm wearing a D & C plaid shirt now and have 3 plaid flannels from LLB. All my PJ's have button front.tops. I guess I purged a button front sweater kimono/pancho but need one to take my 17 yr. old pup out each morn at 4AM (she's loyal to my work schedule & dry floor) when it's 30 degrees & I'm shivering after finally falling asleep with pain. I might buy a couple flannel shirts from Kohl's and ned a non-heavy non-bulky wrap that opens in front. I ordered a TENS Unit (doc recommended) as a lovely accessory - hope it helps.

I'm so sorry to complain.

Have a great week, Fashionistas.

Re: Re : AM Style Chat 1-4-2020

@Desert Lily   I don't just feel for you, I feel you.  I had frozen shoulder on my left side in 2004 and then got it on my right side in 2014.  In 2004 I didn't know what was wrong and pretty much suffered for 4 months before I realized I needed a shoulder specialist.

In 2014 I knew what it was and honestly thought I could get ahead of it.  I worked that shoulder like nobody's business and I swear the adhesions developed when I tried to sleep.  Trying to sleep is the best you can hope for because getting real sleep is a joke when you are going through it.

My right shoulder was so twisted from the adhesions that if I lay flat on the floor left shoulder was flat on the floor and my right shoulder was locked about 6 inches off the floor.  Had to go get the shot and I still don't have full range of motion which is why I bought the aeropilates reformer on January 1st.

When you have upper arm or shoulder issues narcotics (RX of course) can't even get rid of the pain long enough for you to get a night's sleep.

I was grateful I had a recliner cuz I can't sleep standing up like a horse.

You poor thing.
