Really beautiful new Bob Mackie maxi dress. I ordered mine on saturday - so pretty. If you haven't seen it I advise you take a look - also comes in petite. I wanted the teal but it was gone in my size so I got the red - it will look nice with garnet jewelry.

It's so hard to know what size to order when they don't give the hip measurement. I was trying to figure it out using the chest, waist, and bottom opening but that is so hit or miss with these maxis, which seem to be called "fitted". How many inches more do you suppose the hip would be over the waist? I want to put A254283 on waitlist for a September wedding but I don't know what size to order. {#emotions_dlg.sad} I have never ordered Bob Mackie before, any advice you have would be appreciated.

I never go by those measurements. I swear they are always wrong!

I don't know if this helps but I find Bob Mackie (and most other QVC vendors are sized generously).

I take a small in the real world but XS in the 2 Bob Mackie maxi's I already own. They flow down just lovely. However, we all have different body shapes which makes for a different fit of the same size. I am kinda shaped straight down (like a tree trunk) so the hip measurement doesn't matter much to me.

I ordered that dress also in a Petite XS in the blue. It is gorgeous looking! When I receive it, I'll try to remember to come back and let you know how it fit.

Good luck!

You can't see what that dress looks like because you can't order

If A717235 is the correct number I just tried to look it up and it says it cannot be ordered on the internet but I have to order by phone. So there was no picture. Wish I could see it I bet it's pretty, hope you enjoy it.

Lisadpa,

I have a few of his blouses and like them.

I too HATE that they never give hip measurements on tunics or dresses. I am a curvy lady and have larger hips and I find that Bob Mackie clothes are generously sized. My regular QVC size always fits me in his clothes.LOVE BobMackie.

OOOPS Sorry - try A254285. I don't know where I got the other number. And it won't allow me to edit it.

I see it now, that is beautiful, your going to like the red, that's gorgeous. I also like the blue that was on Jackie on the video. (Jacque ? don't know how she spells her name) I'm usually a purple person but I liked it the least and it was the only one available and it was only in 2 and 3 X. If the blue one comes back in my size I may get it, the blue doesn't say it's on waitlist. Glad you posted this.

I see one of his maxi's online that has pockets, I wish he would do that more often.

All of you ladies are going to look so beautiful in these dresses!

I just waitlisted the teal and the blue. Who knows what size I'll be in September or if these dresses will ever come back in stock, but they're too beautiful not to try. I just hope the big print doesn't make me look gigantic. I know the dark solid sides are slimming, but who knows.

Please come back and post when you receive your dresses. Thanks for your help.

I am currently on a weight loss journey and this dress also looked like it would be able to be taken in easily because of the darts in the back.

Lakk - I loved the blue but it was gone in my size too. I had to chose between purple, green and red.
