I can understand the 29 1/2" labeled petite inseam.  They are flare jeans and they are supposed to be dragging around you're shoes.  I wondered what was going on when I saw most of size 0, 2, & 4, etc petite still around.  it was the inseam. No takers.

I wear petite clothing.  A 27" inseam works for me.

29.5 is way too long.  I also find that QVC petite pants are too long in the crotch too.  They are shorter than their average sizes, but not true petite configurations.

@songbird

Well, we are built differently and in no way can one size such as petite be for ALL petites.

I am almost 5'3", on my very best big hair day. My favorite inseam is actually 29 1/2" which is so hard to find. I haven't been watching QVC, and I do wear a 4 or 6, so thanks for posting the item number. I am going to check it out.

I was watching when those pants were presented. Regular was 2" longer than petite; I thought it odd for Petite to be that long but some petites are 5'4" and some like myself are only 5'1" or less. This item would be way too long for me but not every petite.

For most petites, a 29 1/2" inseam in a flare leg would be a tripping hazard.

The word "petite" is misleading.   It suggests a person has a "tiny" build.

The manufacturers should go back to labeling clothing items "short-average-tall".

@Desertdi I disagree. I am short and petite framed. If someone is looking just for short pants, not petite, I hear quacker factory has their pants designed for that purpose. If companies eliminated petite sizing and went with short medium and talls, there is a large portion of the population that would be excluded.

Being short is not the same as being petite.  Petite doesn't refer to the height of a person necessarily.

Petite people have shorter torsos, shorter legs and arms and narrower shoulders.  This means the rise in petite pants is shorter and not just the inseam. Petite bodies can pull pants labeled as short up to their bra line. Worn at the waist, the crotch hangs too low.

I am 5'1" and need petite sizing.  My 4'11" inch daughter cannot wear petite sizing.  She has longer legs and a longer rise.  I tell her she is built like Tina Turner....all legs.

I am short in height and leg length.  But when I still wore very high heels I often looked for 30 inch.  It totally depends on the shoe and the cut of the leg.

Looks like this cut is made to go out over the front of the shoe.
