I ordered my usual size petite large and the empire elastic was too high.  I had to keep pulling the gown down.  Does anyone know if the regular sizes have the shirring lower?  I am not sure whether to get a large regular or a petite 1X to see if that helps.  Really love the style and it is super comfortable.  I checked the measurements and I can't see one that would help me know the placement of the empire shirring.  Thanks

I can't answer your question about the Hochman item...........but "petite" sizes are narrower in the shoulders, and have a higher bust and waistline.   I am under 5' and can't wear "petite" because I have broad shoulders and a longer waist (for a short person).

Thank-you so much for your help with this.  I do have broad shoulders and often have trouble with petites.  I have been trying the wrong size!  I will reorder the regular and see how I make out with that.  I think it is wonderful that other shoppers help one another.  I have spent a considerable amount on postage sending things back so hopefully I will be doing less returning!

@Desertdi: I agree with you. I'm 5' and long waisted with broad shoulders.  Petites are narrow for me and the rise on petite pants doesn't hit me quite right either. When I order anything online I have to check that shoulder to shoulder measurement.
