Does anyone know how often Talbots issues those $20 Loyalist cards? Is there any rhyme or reason as to when they're issued? Or is just totally random?

Re: A question for Talbots fans

I'm still waiting for my Talbots card and I would like to know this too

I have some points ,and it looks like I will need a lot more, before I can use them. Do the point's carry over into the next year, or are they gone when 2018 hits?

Not sure, but I have been a customer for years and get them once in a while. I don't think they have anything to do with points on your credit card.

Points do not expire.  They definately carry forward.

@suzyQ3  I don't know, but I've been a cardholder for several years now and this year it seems to me that the $20 off certificates were issued more often than in previous years!

@Maybe @gidgetgh or @KathyPet who works there will offer more thoughts on this.

I’ve definitely been seeing the certificates a lot more. And they’re not always $20. Sometimes they’re $10 or $15. My guess is that it depends on spending habits.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

@cherry, I probably confused you by using the word "cards." I'm referring only to the monetary gifts that are sent out occasionally to Loyalists. I don't have a Talbots credit card.

I think that those who specualated that it is determined by how much you've been spending might be correct.

Thanks to all for your posts. :-)

If you receive Talbots sale emails, click on the red Classic Awards block at the bottom of each merchandise page. This shows the way Talbots customers earn rewards, based on the type of card they have. It also states that points are valid for 12 months (they used to expire at the end of the year). Having said that, Talbots sent me a $20 rewards voucher out of the blue a few weeks ago - not that I’m complaining! 😉

UPDATE: I just got another $25 awards voucher in the mail today! Santa’s elves must have planted a mole at Talbots. 😊

Re: A question for Talbots fans

I hadn’t shopped at Talbot’s very often this past year. I went into their local store a couple of weeks ago and bought pair of jeggings. Within the hour, they had issued a $20.00 discount certificate (by e-mail) to be used toward my next purchase. I do believe my in-store purchase must have triggered the certificate.

@newagain888888- I'm a big fan of Talbots jeggings.  I have the Saratoga Wash, Black and the Cadet Gray.

I see under new arrivals that they also have them in white.  I'm going to try those, once they reduce the price.
