Re: A Modern Interpretation of Kate's Polka Dotted Dress

Why take a lovely traditional dress and ruin it by chopping out the back?  Does it make it flirty or sexy?  No.  It just makes it. look pointless.

Do the backless one in red, in black, in a summer color or pattern or whatever, but not like this.  It just looks like you don't understand the message.

I think fashion should always be clear about the message.  Well, maybe not if you are going to clubs or to some other trendy places.  In other words, don't dress like a hooker and complain about people hitting on you.

I like the new collar-less version better.  The original one is a bit prissy for my taste.

I'd like the new version much better without the gratuitous cut out back.  Even with it I like it better than the uptight secretary look on Kate.

I am not really a polka dot person so I don’t love either dress. I dislike the cut out back version.

Kate's dress is supposed to represent a vintage style. Abigail Spencer also wore it to Meghan and Harry's wedding. She was on Suits with Meghan.

If I remember correctly she was praised for her vintage style at the wedding.

I prefer the original with the collar.

There are many elements: wind, fire, water
But none quite like the element of surprise

Now that looks a lot better but not something Kate could or would wear (open back).  I do like the front of the dress much better too.
