A Mask for Every Day of the Week

Recently there were two threads re masks and fashion.

Crocheting Fashionable Face Masks

Let's stop fashionizing the pandemic

Well - apparently Fashion won!

I just got an email from JOANN stores ....

Be Safe Your Way - Masks for Every Day of the Week

I've finished about a dozen of them, and the one I wore the other day got rave reviews from some of the women.  And - plan on making some more.

Everytime I go out - I see more and more colorful fashionable masks.

Check ETSY - if you are interested in a "fashionable" mask.

Mine are paper, paper and paper.....I have an assortment of white, black, pink & blue....all to be thrown out once this awful pandemic is behind us!

I'm more interested in FUNCTIONAL masks.  What's the point of wearing one if it doesn't protect you or someone else?  None are things of great beauty.

What do you consider a functional mask?

Re: A Mask for Every Day of the Week

I like the idea of a fresh mask every day.

Sort of the 7 days of panties way back in the 60's (more or less).

Monday through Friday in colors, and Sat. was black; Sunday was white.

I'm still wishing to see those return.  They were nylon.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

I just use regullar masks and I think they're the most reliable ones

I know the guidelines.  I was wondering why Kachina didn't feel like fashionable could include "functional" masks.

Re: A Mask for Every Day of the Week

I have sewn about a dozen masks for DD and myself. its all with quilting fabric I had in stock. Eveyone of them is in colors and patterns different. all have pockets for filters and all can be washed---I can make them faster at home than trying to find any to buy---see nothing wrong with that---if you want them fancy go for it, if not, don't--easy peasy!!!  JUST WEAR THEM!!!!!!

Like @wagirl said ~ Just Wear Them!

I've bought several  cloth masks with pockets from Etsy sellers.  These are all washable so I can wear a clean mask every day.  @ALRATIBA, I like the looks of your crocheted masks.  Very attractive and well done, but prefer a cotton right now for summer.

Wearing a mask is a pain in the patootie!  But necessary.
