Here are my updates for the week.

On Sunday, my Kindle died.  I was bereft.  I had to order a new one (I read at the gym and before bed, and when I'm being a slug on the weekends).  It gave a huge window for delivery, and I saw that it was supposed to be delivered on Monday (two days from now).  When I got home from school yesterday it was on my porch, complete with the accessories, so last night I was back in business.  Of course, right after it died my library wait list item from June came in (I have 72 hours to check it out or it disappears).

Wednesday was the dreaded vet visit for the gums checkup.  I had a bit of a time wrangling her into the carrier, but she couldn't have been sweeter to the vet when we arrived.  Her gums are in good enough shape that I don't have to do a month of antibiotics (breathing HUGE sigh of relief).

Friday morning, at 2:00 a.m. I heard chirping.  Long story short, my hard wired smoke detectors were chirping.  I poked BF awake to take care of it, (of course he hadn't heard it at all) and it chirped until 3:30.  We had quite a time getting it to stop- changing back up batteries, pushing reset, etc. and because they're all connected, they chirped on all three floors.  By the time my alarm went off at 5:30, I was a zombie.
