@Bird mama, wondering if you can help me identify this bird?

It has a curved beak and long talons, I'm thinking it's some kind of bird of prey. 

It showed up on my deck yesterday, all the others critters disappeared instantly, and I'm now wondering if I should move the squirrel/bird food away from my house, lol.

It's some kind of hawk that looks like it needed some shade @Snicks1  You having hot weather too?  It's hard for me to tell the color from the picture. Maybe it was a Coopers Hawk?

If you google "meetup" you will be able to sign up for your interests and make a free account (since I cannot post links here).

Once you get your free account, they will email you events based on your interests.

I believe I checked off photography; computer hacking; painting; fashion; the arts. There seems to be something to do for every interest out there!

Since signing up I have seen groups for get-togethers concerning "free speech Pittsburgh" (my first) They get together both online and now in person for Trivia and socials ... then there's monthly discussion groups online. It's interesting that "meetup" groups also include local interest clubs/groups!

They are magnificent birds to look at @Snicks1   I've had my share of battles with some hawks around here.  Had to get them to understand that I know they need to eat however my backyard is not dine-in.  It's carry-out.
