Re: A.M. Style Live Chat, 7:00, 5/22

I have about one month to go, then two trainings and I will be home free!

Our BOE has been doing a lot of nonsensical things, and the latest is to toss out the CDC recs for three weeks of instruction.

There was talk of rescinding accommodations to have more staff back in the buildings, even though they were granted through the school year.

My principal informed me that he will NOT be doing that.  Heart

The constant stress and being caught in this "Groundhog Day" movie is tiresome.  Kids aren't showing up, they aren't doing the work, we are tracking their non-progress and spending more time on contacting parents and then giving them every opportunity to get the work completed, just to get them to pass.  I saw something fly in my inbox, ..."submitted 53 days late."

We had to bring in "at risk" seniors for a "field trip" into the school building.  They were excused from all classes (that they weren't attending) while they worked with an adult on the outstanding work.  I spent two hours working on Forensic Science with an ELL student.  I am not an CSI investigator, so I did my best to explain things like loops and fingerprint ridges and DNA.

I walked to the big D sporting goods store and bought a (cheap) tennis racket, and BF and I went to the park and hit balls against their practice board.

I have not picked up a tennis racket since high school, but it felt to pound out some "rage".  My forearms had me typing like keyboard cat the next day.

@LTT1   I think we chatted about those zuda pants. You better check them out fast Girl before I scoop them all up!!!!!!!!!!!  Some, many may not like this fabric but I do. Pull up zuda cityscape pants, ankle pants and crops. They're all made out of the same fabric, kind of silky like, wash great, I hang to dry. Then YES, you do need to get out your iron but the creases will come out easily. They don't wrinkle that much if at all when you wear them, sit down etc. I'm 5'4" and the length is perfect on me. These can be dressy or very casual depending on how you dress on top.

If you do amazon, in the search bar, put in 'Chel's Closet'. You can also actually add in a brand name and what she has will populate.

there are a few on Poshmark as well looks like larger sizes but I didn't look that deep

@jackthebear   Most of the models here regardless of their form & size put on clothes that are not their size on the bottom half. I will never understand why they dress like this. It makes me NOT want to buy what they're advertising because the garments look like c*ap on the models.

We KNOW they don't feel good with clothes on that do not fit them. We try on clothes sometimes that aren't the right size, too small here and there but let's face it, we're vain, we tell ourselves we'll make it fit. NOT!!!!! We get so hung up on the size number, tell ourselves we CAN get into that size smaller than what really fits and looks good. I don't, won't, can't do that when I shop.

@PINKdogWOOD   These Zuda pants sound exactly like the fabrication on the Travel Pants I have purchased at Costco.  I always watch for them.  I have a few pair of the slacks, 1 pair of shorts.  Want more of the shorts....they feel like wearing nothing at all.  Never wrinkle when traveling, etc.  Talked the Hubs into a pair and when it's Spring and Fall, he's wearing them for golf...He likes them.  Only took a few months to get him buy a pair!
