@gmkb   The Festival  has the shortcake.   I was told not that good for the measly amount you get. We met eight couples at Fred's Market on MLK. I had SS there and it was delicious!    Fred's is a great restaurant.

We had interesting weather this week.  I work in a building complex called the Renaissance Center.

On Wednesday, the Detroit River actually had waves rolling across it from the 70 MPH wind.  They evacuated the tall buildings in this picture.  I work in one of the shorter ones to the right in this picture. We thought wow, so we are on lower elevation and what happens if one of the tall ones fall over on us.  It was an interesting day for sure.

Fences down, trees down, traffic lights and power lines down.  Took forever to bob and weave through different streets during the commute home.  I was fortunate - I had power, no fences or trees down on my property.

Yesterday we had snow.  

Always something different in Michigan, lol.

Highlight: my day started in the wee hours with a phone call from DGCs singing to me. A LaLEXI!🎉 first!!! (I think she practiced) LUKE!🎉 sang "da" to me, also💜💙💚❤️❤

Eta: my OFFICIAL "present" will be going to PA to see the cuties end of March.

The DBILs same ol' too. We are in limbo trying to decide if he will stay in independent living or go to nursing home. NOT SAD... he is as expected.

I usually wear a 4/6 in retail, so I ordered a small.  I think their pants run bigger, but I ordered smalls (petites) based on the chest measurements.

@Dawnie.  I made black raspberry short cake this week. We pick ice cream buckets full here at home. YUM

My hens are done with the molt and started laying again.

No fresh strawberries here until June, I'm jealous.

I did not leave home all week, going to aldis tonight when DH gets home from work, get ready for the storm, I am out of junk food.

Isn't somebody coming to PA soon to see grands soon?

Talbots = as long as I wait for sales prices, their items are good value. Means not always getting what you want as Mick Jaggar says.

You all know about JC Factory? I got a couple things from them last month including this dress in deep berry color, love the pockets.
