ugh i was awake at 5am today!

I think the most overused word on Q is "chic" because most of the stuff is far from it 

@lolakimono was at Crew earlier lots of things 50% reg price,  not sure if it's online or even still running, but if they don't sell stuff the week before christmas means big sales next week

I went grocery shopping the other day and when I was walking to my car after I was done, I noticed a lady also walking to her car wearing leggings that looked very much like this.

She was wearing a tunic length jacket and she looked cute.  It was very cheerful to me.

Well, as usual, nothing makes sense.  I have to work a full day on 12/23, so I scheduled my flight on 12/24 and was scheduled to get in past 9 p.m., with a 45 minute drive home.

The district decided (after copying other, more teacher friendly districts) that they would vote on an early release day (two hours) on 12/23.  Then they spent a few weeks debating on if they would dismiss the kids and "gift" us an additional two hours of work time or just let us go too.  Then they turned it over to principals, who can allow us to dismiss after kids or complete whatever duty they want, so that they release us at the end of the "duty" day.

We were able to get an earlier flight on 12/24, but I am annoyed that they haven't shown the same "grace and compassion" that they expect us to provide to students and parents.  We are subbing during planning (uncompensated), many subs are not returning and teachers are resigning left and right.  They are still treating this as business as usual, when things are a hot mess.

yes it is @LTT1  and I would probably have less stress if that small branch of the family tree was vaccinated.  They are not and the kid has asthma so I worry.

Good Morning to All.  Before we get into it, I want to extend a very Merry Christmas to all that celebrate this holiday.  These last few days before Christmas can get hectic for many and we sometimes forget that not all will be able to celebrate with family.  One year ago today I lost my mother.  It is a little difficult this a.m.  I'm sure that's why I woke so early....she's strongly on my mind.  I know she wouldn't want me to wallow in sadness and so today will be filled with making candy, baking cookies and preparing a luncheon meal for the family tomorrow.  They all come to receive their ornament from us and to hang their stocking at grandma and grandpap's house.  Gotta keep the Christmas Spirit!  

As for fashion today, I've chosen a bib apron and my Vionic slippers for the kitchen.  Me be STYIN'!!
